Eduardo Stockler Tognetti

Biography

Eduardo Stockler Tognetti has a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo (2002), a Master degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo (2006), a Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Campinas (2011). From May 2011 to July 2012 he held a post-doctoral fellowship from the State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) working at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Campinas. He is currently an assistant professor at the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Brasilia, Brazil, and a control system researcher affiliated with the Laboratory of Automation and Robotics. He worked as an automation engineer with the paper mill Votorantim Pulp and Paper (Fibria S.A.), Piracicaba, SP, from 2002 to 2011, where he was involved with industrial controllers and drive control systems. He has practical experience in industrial process control (paper fabrication, coating, paper rewinding), automation and drive systems (Siemens, Rockwell, GE, ABB etc), participation in start-ups and commissioning of new projects, and management of process information of real-time systems (PIMS, OSISoft). He held visiting research positions at University of Kaiserslautern, Germany (2014), and Université de Lorraine, Nancy, France (2019). His current research interests include: stability analysis and control design of dynamical and uncertain linear systems, H-2 and H-infinite performance, linear systems with parameter variations, Lyapunov theory and linear matrix inequalities
